The Rock Fortress ( SIGIRIYA ) 😍



    Located near Dambulla town in Matale district. Sigiriya is located about 06 km south of Inamaluwa Junction on the Kurunegala-Dambulla Road. Sigiriya Fort is located at an elevation of 1214 ft above sea level and 650 ft above sea level. The ruins of a Buddhist cave temple on the western side of the foothills date back to the reign of Devanampiyatissa. It is said to have existed since the 3rd century. However, Sigiriya became a world-famous art resort after Kashyapa I (477-495 AD) made it his kingdom. The Mahavamsa states that he lived as the Kuvera of Alakamanda, building a palace and an urban plan as a fortress. Archaeologists have identified eight historical sites in Sigiriya.



    That is, the ancient Aramaic period - from the 3rd, 2nd century BC to the 1st century AD, the caves with drips at the foot of the Sigiriya rock and the Brahmi inscriptions which show that they were sacrificed by the monks belong to this period. Prehistoric Kashyapa period - 1st century AD to 5th century AD. The history of this period is uncertain. Period - Kashyapa Age - AD 477-495 Period - Post-Kashyapa Age - AD The Aramaic period after the 6th-7th centuries is the post-Kashyapa period - the period of abandonment - AD. 13-17th Century City Age - 17th-19th Century Period - Modern Renaissance - 1830s to 70s AD It is a place that exemplifies the integration of urban architecture, art, architecture, construction technology, landscape gardening and water management that existed in 5th century Ceylon.

     Declared a World Heritage Site in 11982, it is an archeological site belonging to the Cultural Triangle. Sigiriya is divided into several parts. Sigiriya Rock and the Palace on It The western landscape with Kandy and Malaka water parks, gardens, moats and walls The eastern landscape with moats and walls In addition to these beautiful constructions, Sigiriya has become a fascinating archeological site for local and foreign tourists. Because of the hundreds of world-famous murals and hundreds of graffiti on the mirror wall.

My Schools 🙏💓

     I have educated from two schools.  My first school is KAMBURAWALA M.V .Which is located in my living area. From grade  1 to grade 5 I was educated from there. Now it is a National School. There are about 2500 children in my school now.😚      I faced to my grade 5 schoolarship examination from this school and I passed the exam very well. The guidance  of the  teachers was a great strength to it. Therefore I love my first school so much. Kamburawala M.V      After the grade 5 examination I went to a new school. My next school was ANANDA SHASTHRALAYA Matugama . Which is located in Kalutara district, matugama area. There are about 4000 children in my school.
